We are dedicated to controlling blood pressure.
Transforming Cardiovascular Prevention
High blood pressure is the leading modifiable risk factor for death worldwide, responsible for 16% of deaths and 10% of healthcare costs globally. Despite the availability of effective treatments, many patients struggle to adhere to lifestyle modifications such as exercise and dietary changes. This is largely because high blood pressure is asymptomatic, meaning patients don't feel any better even if their blood pressure improves.
A Modern Approach to Prevention
At Nazata Bio, we are developing a digital therapeutic (DTx) to tackle this challenge. Our app acts as a specialist dietitian, an exercise coach, and a behavioural scientist, tailored to the needs of each patient based on a machine learning personalisation algorithm. Our app empowers patients to reduce their blood pressure by providing personalised lifestyle recommendations and coaching tools, along with gamification, nudge theory and self- determination theory to build a positive feedback loop.
At Nazata Bio, our team is comprised of accomplished professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, all working towards the common goal of reducing blood pressure. Our team includes a doctor and bioengineer with an MBA running daily operations, along with a group of skilled advisors with extensive experience in business strategy, statistics, clinical medicine, and behavioral science. Our advisors bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to the table, and their guidance has been invaluable in the development of our digital therapeutic.
Built on Expertise
A Pragmatic Solution for Existing Healthcare Systems
Our DTx is designed to fit into existing care pathways. Newly diagnosed hypertension patients are typically trialed on lifestyle modifications for several months before starting any medications, as recommended by European and US guidelines, while those who start medications immediately are still to engage with lifestyle modifications. Our app will support patients during this period and beyond, helping them to make lasting lifestyle changes to improve their blood pressure and overall health.
